Saturday:

Saturday Night Shuffle – awesome DJ’d Balboa dance party hosted by Boston Balboa and featuring DJ Erica Vess & DJ Javier Johnson!
The dance is open to the public at large, specifically as a Balboa dance, so you may meet even more of New England’s Balboa enthusiasts!

Sunday:

Balboa Speakeasy — post-workshop social
In the spirit of the awesome Sunday night social at Rocky Mountain Balboa Blowout every year, we’ve arranged something similar for the final evening of TinkerBal, after the workshops end. All are welcome to join us for drinks, food, and from 5:30 – 9pm dancing to music from DJs Mike the Girl & David Plotkin! Brass Union has a sweet back room for dancing, plus a full bar and a tasty menu of small plates and meals!

Even if you didn’t attend the workshops, we’d love to see you at Speakeasy for a few last dances. Hope to see you all there!

SPECIAL NOTES FOR SPEAKEASY:
Because there will be A LOT of people at this Speakeasy, we have made some special arrangements with Brass Union to make things go smoothly for everyone.

1) If you know you’ll want to sit down to a full meal (the food is excellent!) please call Brass Union ahead and make a reservation for a specific time and party size. This lets them plan enough staff for us, and also lets them reserve space for us in the front of the bar, freeing up valuable dancing space in the back room. Seriously, you should do this, or risk much slower-than-average service when the staff gets overwhelmed. (617) 623-9211

2) If all you want is a cocktail and a snack, that’s all still available in the back room. But be aware that we’ll only have barstools along the short end of the bar. The long end of the bar will be standing only, to maximize dancing space!

3) Please put all bags, purses, shoes, luggage, coats, pets, imaginary friends, etc. AWAY from the dance floor, bar, and couches. That way, all the seating in the dancing area is clear for sitting and the floor is as clear as possible for dancing!

Where: Brass Union
70 Union Square, Somerville
When: 5:30 – 9:00pm
Admission: Free! (buy your own drinks and food, yum)
