Downtown Waltham has tons of good food and drink.  Here are some favorites.  Check out our MAP for locations of the listings here, and keep your eye out for other options, because this is not even close to all the places you could try!

Close to workshop venues – quick walking distance

Aries Noodle and Dumpling 春风一面: just what it says on the tin, tasty Chinese noodles and dumplings

Peshawri Kebabs: Halal kebabs

The Fika Spot: coffee and espresso drinks, pastries, plus jianbing and a few other Chinese snacks

Also easy walking distance if you have a little more time

(Moody St is the restaurant strip a few blocks away)
Gustazo: upscale Cuban, cocktails and a long rum list

Lizzy’s Homemade Ice Cream: cones, cups, sundaes, the works

Pho 1 Waltham: pan-Asian menu but you want the Vietnamese dishes

Shanghai Cuisine 上海小馆: our go-to delivery spot – the soup dumplings are good and so is the 5-spicy beef cold dish

Ponzu: good sushi, EXCELLENT Korean food (owner makes her own kimchi)

Peppino’s Dosa: delicious dosas and related vegetarian dishes

Deep Ellum: hipster bar with good cocktails, good beer list, and solid food choices

Rassa: haven’t tried this yet, it just opened and is upscale Indian cuisine

Little India Restaurant: stalwart local Indian with lunch buffet

Franco’s Pizzeria and Pub: the BEST pizza in town, plus steak tips, subs, salads, etc.

Guanachapi’s: excellent Guatemalan/Salvadoran food with some Mexican specialties too

Karibu: Ugandan cuisine, cafeteria style

Taste House: hipster-y Chinese spot, hit or miss but some dishes are solid

Brewer’s Tap & Table: reliable gastropub food, long list of local beers, big patio in the back

Solea Restaurant and Tapas Bar: upscale Spanish tapas

Angel Tea: locally-owned boba and Chinese homestyle takeout

Bonchon: addictive Korean chicken wings

Shiki Shabu Shabu: Japanese hot-pot

Fancier and/or a bit farther away

La Campania: upscale Italian with a patio

IL Capriccio: upscale Italian with a patio

The Chateau Restaurant: midrange Italian-American

Mu Lan Taiwanese Restaurant: solid Chinese cuisine in a large space, good for groups

Hakata Ramen & Sushi: ramen and sushi, shockingly

YUMCHA: more boba

Tree Top: good Thai food in a tiny space

Taqueria El Amigo: the best tacos in town, in a tiny dump of a room off a side street – get takeout if you’re a group of more than 2 people

Brelundi: midrange Italian-American with a lovely patio overlooking the river; open for BREakfast LUnch and DInner.  In the Watch Factory building (worth a visit, look for the display cases in entryway).
